Best and Most Versatile Case Available Aug 20, 2009
By Sector9 After I purchased my Macbook Pro 15", I was interested in purchasing a notebook sleeve. This would be to protect the computer from scratches while I carried it around in my backpack. I found that even the sleeves made for the MBP 15" had dimensions that were too big for my backpack.
Then I found the Moshi Codex! Not only does this have a form fit, but it has exceptional protection compared to any sleeve available. The zippers on the case feel very sturdy and the padding is excellent. Another great thing about this case is that you can leave it on and still use the computer. It is extremely versatile as it is small enough to fit into laptop backpacks and it is padded enough to be used on its own. It comes with a detachable handle to carry it like a briefcase, a Apple Remote holder that attaches to the zipper, and a protective pad to place on the keyboard to prevent any dust or grime from the keyboard getting on the screen when the case is closed. This pad also doubles as a mouse pad.
Overall this is definitely worth the investment as it is the best protection available for the MBP 15".

Sleek, Slim, Study, DOES NOT LAST Nov 03, 2010
By JudyWoo This cover is sleek, slim and sturdy. I can rest text books on it empty and it'll keep its shape. Its thin enough to fit into my backpack and messenger bag, and withstand the backpack getting tossed, knocked off a desk, dropped on the floor, etc. The inside is soft and won't scratch my MacBook Pro. It's sturdy than neoprene sleeves and won't scratch/collect dust like plastic shells. If you can afford it, then buy it!
About four months after having it, the zipper wore down the lining inside, ripping it slowly. I repaired it myself by sewing it together (I happen to embroider/sew as a hobby.) A few days ago (ten months after purchasing the case) the zipper gave out completely. It's jammed and there's nothing I can do but throw it away.
It is NOT WORTH the pain or money.
