Hard to put on, falling apart, difficult to change songs Apr 14, 2008
By Erica Hilgeman
"Erica H."
I'll start off by saying that, once you get it on, with your songs pre-set, this band stays on your arm comfortably. That ends the positives about this armband. Since it uses a hook and loop closure rather than velcro, it often takes me up to 5 minutes to get the darned thing hooked on correctly. Now, after a few months of use, the loops are starting to come unglued from the band, so it's getting even more difficult.
Then, there's the plastic screen. It is thick enough to protect the ipod in rain (good!), but also thick enough that it's nearly impossible to change songs mid-workout. I simply have to put on my exercise playlist at the beginning of my workout and stick to it.
Short story, I'm on Amazon looking for a new armband because this one drives me so crazy.

Belkin Sport Band Review Jan 12, 2009
By E. L. Davis
"Why carry a big stick when kicking them in the kneecap works just as well"
For what it says it does a decent job for protecting your touch from the elements but some serious shortcoming.
Pros: 1) Pretty Good at preventing scratchs to the screen and surface but thin enough to allow you change the volume 2) The clear portion allows enough room to perform most actions successfully but don't think about surfing the net or writing a e-mail it loses accuracy 3) Interesting armband materal that does a pretty food job of making sure your sweat doesn't hurt your touch under a normal workout scenario.
Con: 1. Don't even think about dropping this it offers zero protection to falls and equally haphazzard on leaving it in your pocket with the metal latch on the armband to rub away the materal over time. 2. The clear plastic portion scratchs easy and after a few days use was already scuffed up. 3.The armband is horrible in terms of getting it on your arm. Unless you're a serious runner and have zero muscle mass in your arms this armband won't fit you. I lift weights so its become a forearm band holder. 4. Glue!!! They built the major parts that will probably fail the worse. THe attachment to the ipod sheath to the armband out of glue. Last time I checked glue and body heat don't play well together and usually something breaks. 5. That metal latch. Thin Metal hook plus neoprene loops equal busted loops very quickly. Plus the initial hooking of said meta l hook is a nightmare and best done with sunlight around. Very hard to do at night. 6) Durability of the protector is a 1 outta five. I've done 4 workouts already and I've seen cracks forming around the insertion holes for the touch. Broken thread from seams as it stretched and didn't flex properly.
Overall Impression... As a basic protector until something better comes along this is it. If you're a serious runner or a muscular (larger) framed person avoid this entirely its a waste. This protector you need to treat with kid gloves as much as you need to the treat the ipod touch with kid gloves to avoid damage. If you're looking for marginal protection with minimal activity this will work out ok for you.

cumbersome Dec 14, 2008
By D. L. Gilbert I personally would not recommend this product. It is hard to latche with the hook system, and it doesn't stay where put - not a good product for ease of use.

Poor design Aug 05, 2008
By J. Tortorici The armband is hard to put on. It does not have a velcro armband, it has a metal latch. Also, the material is not very elastic so it is difficult to get it to stay on. Also, the slit that you slide the ipod down in is not designed well, made of cheap material, and started ripping the very first time I used it.

Piece of Poop Jul 04, 2008
By Robyn, VT On the second day of using it the plastic face cover began to peel away. This is all that holds the ipod in place, so I cannot use this for a run since it's likely that by use number 3 this thing will fall apart completely. It seems the manufacturers felt holding this thing together with little more than double sided tape would do the trick, not so. The metal hook used to attach this is a joke and next to impossible to use. To make matters worse I cannot return this piece of junk because I redeemed "points" from Pepsi to purchase it. Lovely.
