Big sound from little earbuds Aug 11, 2008
By J. Forschen I can't wear the standard earbuds that rest on the inside of the ear or the ones that have arms that wrap around the outside of the ear for very long, suffering from sore ears. After seeing pictures of these Radius ear buds inserted in the ears, they looked a lot more comfortable than standard ear buds. Once I recieved these in the mail, I tried them out with my Zune and was in heaven. They're not ear buds, more like ear plugs! Properly inserted, they blocked out a lot of ambient noise (I work near an active airport runway) and could listen to my music in peace. These ear buds also produce some strong bass. I was listening to a Timbaland song that used some strong bass and it felt like I had some 18" subs inside my ears, you could almost feel it.
However, the bass is not overpowering that it drowns out everything. It sounded great in all the music I listen to. Michael Buble sounds great with the big band instruments.
I've listened to my music with these for hours...no part of these, except the soft rubber inserts, touches my ears so I don't get sore.
The ear buds did have a downside in which the rubber pieces sometimes stayed in my ear when I finished listening to them. Just use care when removing them, not ripping them out.
Also, I don't like any type of ear speaker devices that use that "U" type wiring where the left side wire is short and the right side is long.
However, even with these setbacks, the sound is totally impressive and makes it easy to overlook the cons.
OK, not great Jan 28, 2009

For the price of these earbuds, I think they are not worth it. Don't get me wrong, they're not horrible but I've paid less for better ones. I feel like the sound quality is just OK, not anything special and they always feel like they are about to come out of my ears, even with the biggest size rubber covers. The worst thing is that I've had them for less than 2 months and already bare wires are showing through just above the jack that goes into my iPod
