My personal opinion Jul 20, 2010 I like these. Of course they lose their adhesiveness after a while, just replace it with a new one. What else are you going to do?
elago crystal clear screen for iPhone3gs May 03, 2010 I would like to say,, just take it. as it mentioned, this is very clear than any other film screen. (I used 4 different products)
It was ok to installed, especially you need to avid dust from the air..
whenever I saw the screen, it makes me feel good. cuz it was so clean and clear.
It was not bother me any finger print or face oil. (it was better than I expected)
I definitely recommend this for you.
thanks elego.
OK Protector Mar 08, 2010 Cover is OK. Its crystal clear as the name states, but it scratches very easily. There are scratch marks from where I tried rubbing out the 1 air bubble I got. It was very easy to install, the bubble was actually a small speck of dirt that got on the screen after I cleaned it. Also, the edges do not stick very well even though I cleaned the surface with Rubbing alcohol followed by the microfiber cloth that comes with the film. Overall the protector is OK, but I would recommend the Elago Smudge Free cover. It seems to be more scratch resistant, or atleast hides the scratches better.
Disappointed Feb 26, 2010 I purchased this screen protector because of the low price. After installing it and using it for less than a day, I am already unsatisfied. It does the job, but does not do it well.
The application is straightforward, but the screen protector's material is difficult to work with. It is a bit thick and seems to have a natural inclination to curl slightly inward (into the adhesive side). This makes positioning and adhering the screen quite difficult since it tends to stick while you're trying to align it properly. The section for the speaker is also poorly cut. It takes more effort than it should to detach the cutout. I got dust specks and bubbles galore.
Once applied, it doesn't stick to the screen uniformly. The edges tend to want to curl up and away, making it prone to getting snagged when I put my phone in my pocket. I've actually just removed and discarded it in hopes of finding a better screen protector. On the upside, it doesn't leave any residue when removed.
I had a Moshi screen protector before (it was included with my Moshi iGlaze slim case) and prefer that one to the Elago very much. I replaced Moshi because I had a few dust specks (3) underneath it and I was wanting to get a perfect application. I believe that the hard screen protectors are inherently challenging to apply because of their firmness. Dust particles should be expected, but can be minimized with care and preparation. The only dust-free product I've had experience with is the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD. Unfortunately, I find their screen protectors a little too "squishy". I think I will get another Moshi and see how I do with the application the second time around.
Can't get it to stick properly Feb 03, 2010 This is a rigid screen cover, not a film like the product description implies. Rigid screen covers are much more difficult to get to stick. Mine refuses entirely to stick on the left side. It is as if the screen cover is bent. About 5 mm of the screen cover is not attached to the phone, collecting dust and generally looking really bad. I got this as a replacement for the Zagg InvisibleShield Front Shield for Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS (Front) and I am going back to the InvisibleShield.
